Many Thanks.

Am arriving tomorrow and staying in Garrucha a couple of nights.

Have then booked a couple of nights in Carboneras.

Not sure after that!

you've timed it well!  the rain has stopped and the sun has returned for a few days now so you should have some lovely warm weather to look around the area.  Good bus service to Carboneras from Mojacar if you don't want to drive it's a bit of a scary road.

We found it very quiet in Carboneras whenever we have been there and prefer Mojacar.

I like Carboneras better than Mojacar as it more authentically Spanish.  Agua Amarga is a delightful place nearby but very quiet in the winter.  If you stay in Carboneras try Hostal Felipe which is central close to the beach and does a great variety of excellent tapas.  What sort of ambiance are you looking for exactly?  Touristy  or more Spanish?  I take it you want to be by the beach.

Hi,

You need to visit Albox, get a feel for inland. It’s only a 30 minute drive to Garrucha & MojΓ‘car Playa. We don’t get as busy in Summer, so you have the advantage of going to the beach to visit, then leaving it behind when you want to come home. Win win πŸ˜ƒ

Good luck πŸ‘

Not necessarily. We are staying in the Hotel Alboran and like it here so much we have decided to stay 2 extra nights!

Now tossing up between here and Bolnueva which we re-visited on the way here.

Back to you the UK soon, but will return in April and rent somewhere in both the places for a couple of weeks.

Thanks for your input.
