Morning All

I am now in Carboneras for 2 nights.

Wondered if any of you folks lived here and would like to meet for a coffee/drink?

Would be lovely to hear your thoughts about living here etc

Gill 💕💕💕💕

Hi Again,

I also meant to ask if there was anywhere ‘reasonable’ to stay for a couple of nights??

Hi Gill, plenty of expats in certain areas - most noticeably Albox and Mojácar.

Don’t know much about Albox, it’s inland and I never have call to venture there.  Mojácar is a BIG tourist area in summer and us split into the playa and the pueblo.  In summertime it’s ..... intense :-D

As for somewhere reasonable to stay, if you are looking at hotels, you are limited by the hotels that stay open on the off-season.  There’s a couple in Mojácar, the Terraza Carmona in Vera, Valle del Este hotel at Valle del Este aaaaaaand probably more inland, but I just don’t know them :-D

Stay inland at huercal overa, you are central to explore area, carboneras and aqua amarga in South to mojacar to aquillas in North. Lots to see inland too

Or you could try Hostal Manolo in Garrucha. We stayed there when we were looking to buy our apartment. It is clean, inexpensive and very well located for Mojacar to Villaricos area and with easy access for A7 motorway.

Good luck.

Hi Gill

Good luck with taking the plunge.

My friends have a only last week launched the rental of their casita ..it truly is gorgeous and the rates are very reasonable.  You would have self catering facilities with groceries, tes, coffee etc

You can find it on Facebook and there is an image attached to this reply

I personally think it would be an ideal location to research neighbouring towns and villages.

Kind Regards

Jane

Will only be there in the Winter.

What’s it like there then?
