Apologies if this has been asked before.
I have someone who is trying to register my UK driving licence on the 060 number. If she is successful I know I need a medical (Garrucha) but then I have been told I need to take all documents down to AlmerIa.
Unfortunately I do not have any transport but I have been told an Abogado can do everything for me online so no need to get to Almeria. However, has anyone had any experience of this as I was quoted €120 euros for this service this morning.
I would be interested to know who your abagado is. My wife and I are about to go through the same rigmarole.

I can’t recommend an abogado as I haven’t used one (yet). I was just asking if anyone had experience of trying to do the DL exchange and the costs involved.
Hi We used CATs when we did ours they charged about 75 if my memory serves correct, give them a call. I dont think you can do it online as you need to hand over your Eng license.

We used Torres, near the Fuente in Mojacar. Price about the same but still haven’t got the licence but got some paperwork to cover if stopped by Trafico.

Thanks for the response Leon but, with no transport, I’ll have to look for someone closer to Mojácar.

in Garrucha on the seafront 150 metres from the townhall going towards Mojacar is Centro de Reconocimento who will do the whole process for you including medical. tele for an appointment they speak english 950 460 630 or 620514 866. mon-thu-fri 11.30am tp 2.00pm, tue-wed 5,00pm-7.30pm. If you have any medical problems take details of your prescription,passport,english licience and address details. they will give you paper cover and send it off to Almeria to exchange. get a photo copy of your licence before you hand it over. not sure of cost but it was 50 euro for renewal of spanish so more than that i expect.
