They would sooner jump on you for surmising that you drink tap water rather than respond in a nice civilised way . Typical of this forum at the moment . Good advice Dario

All this discussion all began with the first post saying the water was smelling and did not taste very nice so I responded saying it’s best not to drink it and the poster then  said she did not drink it, so if she did not drink it how would she know it did not taste very nice?

Hello to all.
I used to live in Arboleas and also had smelling shower water. (I drank the tap water also, but there was a reverse osmosis system, so that water tasted fine).
I noticed the bad smell only in summer, since I showered with unheated water. So, the water in the hot water pipes was standing still for some time. After rinsing the pipes for some time, the smell was gone.
It helped for me anyway.

perhaps it entered her mouth while showering or she used it to clean her teeth you don't have to drink it to taste it

Possibly tasted it while making tea or coffee with it?

I know I was using tap water in Huéscar both for drinking and making coffee and some days it was rotten others fine 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️.

Tried going the bottle water route but was P.O.  trying to pour water from 5 or 8 litter bottles into the kettle.

Smaller bottles were way more expensive 5 liters 0.75c 8 liters 0.95c also hugh waste of plastic.

I did find that no matter the taste the kettle needed descaling at least once a week and we also needed to pay a plumnber to descale our water heater as it was not all that hot.

So We went with the osmosis option for the house hold supply.

well in Arboleas it sometimes comes out muddy brown in colour and definatley not recommended for drinking

It comes out cocacola coloured in UK sometimes We just wait for it to run clear again although Water Supplier assures us it is quite safe
