Hi landing in the village in a couple of weeks , will be mobile so looking to get a good feel for the area with a view to long term rent or buy, any advice or recommendations on surrounding villages and places etc

all helpful and thanks in advance.....there for 17th september for a week

Hi, you will need to decide whether you want to be in an ex pat area or a more traditional Spanish village. Avoid the area to the left of Huercal Overa, all around Santa Maria de Nieva unless you want to be inundated with flies and smells from the pig farms all round that area. Are you looking for a villa or Spanish village house as there is so much choice available?

thanks for replying paul, looking to get a feel for the area we will be looking to buy a villa, in touch with a few estate agents but also wanted to get the vibe of the social side
