Hi guys looking for some feedback on the area Los Higuerales please.   I’m told it’s a small hamlet around a 15-20 minute drive from Albox.   What is crime level like in Los Higuerales- break ins?   Tourist visits to the area any issues?   Teen behaviour locally?    We are moving soon to the area of Almeria looking at property purchase.   The Maradel villa currently used as a holistic retreat.   If anyone knows of the area has any tips or feedback that would be very appreciated.  Also is there any storage in Albox to send stuff over ahead of us?

Cheers.

Los Higs as we call it is lovely. If you want peace, quiet and beautiful views it's the place to be.It is about 15 mins from Albox, 15 - 20 to Arboleas and 15 mins to the main road that takes you to the motorway. There a storage company called Moovit. We have a lovely Tapas bar in Limaria about 10 mins away by car and a shop there opening within the next few weeks. There is also the Crystal mine which should be open soon. Not heard of any crime hhereon time teenagers are here is if people have visitors but few and far between.  Hope this helps, enjoy your weekend.

Jack, depends who you are with you. There is Albox online, Sister, Rednet,  Next communications all gave their problems. You have to remember we are halfway up a mountain.

Hi guys.  Another question.  Is council consent required to keep a few chickens and a couple of goats?   Risks from local wildlife to that kind of live stock in the Los Higuerales area?   Do local property owners allow dogs to roam?   Cheers.

Hi. It made me smile that you asked about teenage behaviour 🙂.in Spain kids are taught to be respectful to adults and they are! At the peak of Covid 3 teensgers walked past me without masks. I asked them why they weren't wearing them and they all immediately apologised and put them on. I doubt you'd have got the same response in England! And as for crime!! The scenery around Albox, Oria and the Almanzora Valley is stunning. And if you're looking for somewhere rural and you don't mind having to drive everywhere Los Hugs could be perfect!

Hi there Juliet many thanks for your response very reassuring.   Would you know if there are any consents required to keep some chickens and goats?  Very small scale but want to be sure we are doing things right.   Many thanks 😊
