Hi Sue, many thanks for your message, I think the 90 day rule applies to most EU countries, but what we are trying to establish is that if we stayed for 90 and then returned back to uk for 90, is there any rule that says we cannot return for a further 90 afterwards giving us 180 days. Do you mind me asking why you are selling

Hi Sue, many thanks for taking the time to reply, we will probably end up using as a holiday home 3 months of the year until we decide if we are going to make the move permanent, we have previously had a property on the greek side of Cyprus for many years and thought we would see what Spain had to offer. We are relatively naive to the spanish way of life and given the upcoming Brexit fiasco we are uncertain of where we want to be.  Do you mind us asking how long you have lived in Spain and if you have any regrets and if so what are they. Sorry to read of your health being the reason for selling. Regards Alan

Im so sorry to hear that, to be fair having spent many years in Cyprus, I started to feel perhaps the English way of life wasnt so bad after all. I guess every country has its good and bad points and if you can see past the pitfalls there is clearly a good way of life to be had. Im very sorry to hear of your own health issues bringing you back. Was you there very long? Did you interact with others in the community or was you more of a private person doing your own thing. We are hoping we can socialise in a friendly environment but having the privacy in our own surroundings when it suits us. Im sure you probably dont want to go into too much detail but if you want to share any of your spanish life experiences, it would be nice to know. Where are you from in the UK. Regards Alan

Hi Alan we have lived in Spain 16 years. We live in a multi cultural small private estate.within walking distance to a restaurant and bar. The village of arboleas is 5minutes drive also albox which is the main town. I think we have the best estate here and very flat.(no mountains)  we do have friends here, but like you we like our privacy. The area is also very cheap  e.g coffe 1 Euro. Plenty of group activities. Regards sue

It sounds like you have a good balance and you certainly have enough experience of spanish life to make a fair appraisal on good and bad. Do you have any pictures of your home? We have a tick list of what we would like in a spanish villa but obviously, we all like different things which make us all unique in our own way. Alan
