Just heard Italy and Scotland have banned all travel from UK too.

New Variant of Covid out of control in England per Mr Hancock. Spreads 70% faster than original virus.

Yow.  Looks like UK going to be quarantined from rest of world then.

And Kuwait,R.O.I,and France just announced a 48hr ban and more will follow, and I am not surprised,I hope all the muppets that decided to break the rules/advice are now happy, mind you they are the ones that will scream loudest about the restrictions

Dead on CJ. Even on another thread on this forum there is a plonker advising "rude" poster advising him not to travel to Spain. I wonder what he means by rude.

For all those still in the UK, whatever our differences, please, please take care.  Despite what some may say, Covid is not a multi-governmental plot to force the great reset (or whatever) - it is a very very real disease that whilst you could have a high likelihood of surviving, still can leave lasting, long term damage to heart and lungs.

Please stay safe and virus free one and all.

Here here , wishing everyone on this forum a happy Christmas and fingers crossed for 2021 . I’m not sure why but quite often I get the impression of a them and us theme running . Just because some of us only visit , ie holiday maker , something I’ve been doing for 38 years . I love mojacar and have many friends their and as many bar and restaurants can testify I have spent my hard earned cash willingly from velez blanco to El jido . I used to waiver about buying and moving but family and farming never quite let me. Every time I leave I wish I had longer in mojacar . Up until this terrible virus and now the brexit withdrawal I never thought it would be a problem to come and go as l wish . My normal January , March and October visits will not be as easy and straight forward . Certainly the first two out of the question . Wether you think tourism is good or bad I shall and do miss mojacar and I’m sure my regular watering holes will miss my euros . Take care everyone . We escaped tier 4 by 3 miles my daughter and grandchildren in Battle ,Rother district and another daughter in London both in tier 4 . Middle daughter has been in longer lockdown near Leeds for ages and I miss them so much without our Christmas get together . 2021 must be better surely . Dev

As the saying goes, once in Mojacar you can never truly leave,I have the same passion,my Indalo man is on my car and that car will be back.

I remember the old days of the 'irish Rover'with the dancers, not the one now,Mi Taberna run by Jose, the one run by Ruth and her husband the name escapes me(by the old indalo appartments),then later with Beachcombers with John, and the 2 bars by Geoff and Ian,and lets not forget the old characters,Bald Eagle/Major Tom/CD Alan, who have all sadly passed away.

But their life and legacy will live on

I didn’t know CD Dave had died . Had many a cuppa or a tubo in Thomas’s or Mi tab with him . He actually said could he have a brandy instead last time I saw him in August ,unusual for him . I bought 5 cds of Spanish guitar/ flamenco off him to give to a very good french friend who played guitar and joined in our Carrigans sing songs . Same again with Major Tom and bald eagle characters but they would have hated these rules and regs as they where out and about most nights . We must have met Cj . Phil at the Rover and Dave are great friends . Mitaberna ,way back with Graham 1 & Graham 2 working their , happy days . Roll on 2021
