Not that many electric cars in the area yet due to the lack of charging points.   Used cars are like hen's teeth as well.

I would not consider a electric car in this area for at least two to three years, hardly no where to charge,

Unless you have solar panels and a charge point at your property I wouldn't bother with full electric, maybe a hybrid?

The infrastructure simply isn't there yet.

Will have full solar power and charging point at our villa. Hoping that will surfice. If we need to travel long distances on od occasions we intend to hire a car. But thanks so much for your advice. Not keen on half electric/petrol, have been advised that over 30mph petrol kicks in and very little electric used.

Very few charging points here and often people just park in the spaces whilst they shop etc.  Think very carefully about this.  In an emergency might need to travel many miles ie hospitals etc and might struggle to charge your car.

We have had an electric car for a year living in Arboleas. Never had any problems with finding charging points and like you we have a charging point at home and have solar power. We bought new but dealt with a very helpful and knowledgeable man called Paolo at the Kia garage in Antas. Contact him he will be able to help you source a used car I’m sure.
