Hi Rich

Thank you very much for this information, from the sound of your experience I will definitely look at this as an option and for a price . Hope you and your family (dogs) are having a happy life , we can't wait to get ours over .

Lish

Has anyone ever asked the dog on their experience? I don’t think you would like to have the experience of been in the cargo area of a plane very cold and noisy, I have read of dog dying from the experience

What people will put there pets through.

Good morning

thank you after reading your reply re dogs . Just a few questions please if you would be so kind . we’re planing to drive with two dogs next April and go 90 day 90 day .
After getting off shuttle how far do you travel before you stay overnight.

What area do you stay in .we were planning to have two overnight stays .

Our place is in San Juan near Águilas

How do we get the Eu passport

Any other tips you could give us bring our first trip across by car .

Thank you speak soon

Chris and Jan

Hi, driving from Calais to Aquilas is not a two day drive. We are currently driving back up now and it’s a four day drive. 7 hours driving is more than enough for me.

We use motorways and coming down this year our route to Mojácar was Abbeville, Limoges, juanita de La Ràpita but use Booking.com

Find a local vet in Spain and they will process your pet passport. Unfortunately you’ll need to get a pet health certificate in the uk to get into the eu so the first trip will be expensive.

Rabies jab and eu pet passport approx 50€

I was expecting some idiot to respond and they have done,

The point is don’t expect a animal to travel in the luggage hold on a plane maybe you would travel that way I don’t know wether you are a dog lover or not but I would not put my dog through that stress

I thought I would get a response from some morons.

I think it’s time we end this conversation then, I don’t know if you know this forum is to inform people on different subjects, the discussions was about transporting dog to uk or to Spain, and I was saying that it is probably very stressful for a dog to travel in the hold of a plane due to the temperature and noise and you have to come back with the suggestions I was talking stupid

As I said before most of us are trying to help people not come here to make fun and insult in future I will be blocking you so I don’t get your insults and your (threat)

Hi, I have never used pet transport using aeroplanes so can’t comment however my brother has used them to transport his dogs to North America. The information he received from the courier included details of the compartment area they occupied on the flight which is both heated and pressurised and designed specifically for animals. Crates were a good size and food and water provided.

Flight transfers for animals/pets is very safe and (relatively) comfortable and is used extensively worldwide. It’s expensive though! Obviously, it’s not ideal but better than having to give up and re home pets.

I get what you are saying, a couple of people are saying that when their dog got off the plane it was very happy. well of course it was. it was reunited with its owners after having an awful experience. Dogs are your very best friends, they give you their all. why would you treat them like a piece of luggage, when there are other options available. i.e. driving or the ferry.
