Hi my husband and I are planning to move to the almeria area before Dec as its been a life long dream, we're in our late 40,s, obviously when we're able to do so.

Just asking for some tips and advise on the process really we want to rent first then look at areas to buy, also regarding work, I work in hospitality and also private house cleaning and my husband has a window, door fitting business, is there many jobs available,

Thankyou in advance for any replies as they will be greatly appreciated, Nicola, ps recommendations on areas will be helpful too, we're looking for a 2 bed apartment with communal pool, preferably with walking distance to the sea and all amenities to start of with renting long term, thanks

A relative of mine who is in his mid 30s, has lived and worked in Spain for 6 years.  He has an excellent education from the UK and speaks fluent Spanish.  However, his job is at present closed because of the Lockdown and if it does not re-open again, his chances of getting another job in the area of Almeria is very, very, slim.  I do worry for him and hope that things turn out ok when this is over, as he loves his life in Almeria.
