Renting with Goldcar for about 10 years very satisfied but if you go for the cheapest rate you take the risk of hidden damage i allways take key’ngo easy and no chance of disapointments

just book key'n go go to machine enter your booking reference number and you get your key's no waiting in a que. once had a damage was not a problem at all.

What's Goldcar like?Goldcar has been one of the worst performers in this survey for a decade. Its prices might be low, but the two star value for money rating says it all. Many customers that were lured in by the promise of a bargain lived to regret it, including one driver who said ‘they are the only car hire company that I do not trust.’
The cars themselves didn’t impress either. Goldcar was one of only two companies to score below four stars for the age, condition and mileage of cars provided. Drivers informed us of cars that were ‘badly scratched on almost every panel’ or had ‘lots of small dents’.
Goldcar’s customer service was especially disappointing, scoring worse than all 12 other car hire companies surveyed.
Nearly a fifth had to queue for 30 minutes or more when picking up their car, and things went downhill from there: one respondent saw the woman in front ‘reduced to tears’ due to the pressure that was applied to buy extra insurance – hence the two star rating for ‘ease of opting out of extra charges’.
Another reader had a similar experience themselves, saying ‘We bought an inclusive package through carjet.com which included all insurance. The (very rude) Goldcar rep told us it was nothing to do with them and we had to pay nearly €100 extra.' We only wish we were surprised: watch our undercover video of Goldcar bullying customers into buying additional insurance.

That happens when you do not book directly with G C but with rental cars. Com etc then G C has no contact with insurance cie therefore one has to buy their insurance. If you book the full package and Key’go you dont even speak to any employee so no extra insurance talk but if you just go for the lowest fare you are asking for trouble!
