For Almeria David Baxter at Al Andalus is very good (cash only so nothing blocked off the card). We have also never had any probems with Avis there.

Thanks this is great Al Andalus. when you say cash only what about cdw. If we have a crash? I took a yearly insurance on cdw waiver excess. Which means what ever the excess is the insurance will reimburse us. So only need the basic hire. I like it’s a family run business

Email Dave - the cost includes insurance and his chap meets you just outside the terminal and you hand him the euros and he hands you the car and when you return to the car park he shows you you leave keys in glove box and unlocked - so very easy but remember to fill up at the garage which is very close to the airport. Trust is key! He will email all the paperwork which you need to print off to have in the car. Email him direct!

If you need to drop off your Al Andalus car at Murcia this is also possible as Al Andalus have a tie-up with Seguro Parking which makes it quite easy.

Hi, try this website, www.doyouspain.com , always found the cheapest offers with them, they compare the different car hire companies at the airport, just don't take the additional insurance on their website, if you want additional insurance take directly when you pick the car up

Had a bad experience with Goldcar. Returned a car with no damage. they claim the aerial was missing and wanted Euro 95! I showed them the video of the car we took when we returned the car and the aerial was on the car. They were having none of it. After arguing they reduced the charge to Euro 25. I suspect the person who checks the car when you return it removed the aerial. I wonder how many just pay up.
Hi
We don't use them since they charged us for a dint which was already their when we picked the car up and they highlighted it on the contract - so we thought that's fine if it's on the contract, but when we returned to the UK they said it was a different dint totally untrue. We don't mind paying for any damage that is our fault that's life but to charge us for someone else's damage is totally out of order.
Hi there
We use gold car it took us over an hour to get the car the guy was most unhelpful and thay still owe us over €100 . We book through do you spain and firefly have always been on the ball not always the chepest but never had a problem with them just do the paper work and we're normally on the road within the hour.

Used Hertz in Almeria' last year and thought something was wrong with the car the day before we were to return home. Worked out on the journey to the airport that it was the clutch so naively told the Hertz staff at the airport as I did not want the next hirer to have any problems. The staff thanked me but one month later I received a bill for 500 euros for a new clutch as I be driven the car knowing there was aproblem. I argued wear and tear, the car body was one of the worse cars I have ever driven so it had been knocked about abit. I sensory advice from Citizen Advice who said I could argue but not firm case so in the end had to pay up.
They have lost out on repeat business as we have been out 7 times since ....but long and short I do not recommend Hertz.
