Your not too far from us in el margin, any idea wether tel play or albox online provides most reliable internet/tv service in our vicinity ? 

Sorry matey I just don't know. We decided against Albox online although have noted +ve & -ve comments about them on Arboleas Forum from  time to time. We eventually opted for Telplay and haven't been disappointed. They also give you a choice of mb Contracts/mth. Unfortunately their predominant language is Spanish but one of our fitting team spoke some English.

May I suggest asking neighbours if you have any? Also are you full time here or just occasional visitor as some Companies offer visitor packages.

It took us ages to decide so don't rush into a lengthy contract.

Its a holiday home initially for first 3-4 years then hopefully early retirement and come and go as we please between here and the UK.

For now we hope to get over once a month, got flights boooked already for Feb, Mar and April.  Some long weekends and some longer breaks when the weather is better.

I can do a bit of work from home so internet connection would be essential really and the TV for the cooler nights.

Think we have seen it ats it worse as we were snowed in last week, luckily I had just installed a 15KW wood burner and that kept the place lovely and warm. so we are not frightened of the winter now.

I emailed both companies and price varied between €25 and €30 per month which isn too bad if it delivesr the bandwidth and the TV etc

My understanding from a year ago is that only Telplay give you a higher mb although others promise. We are paying Telplay 32.67€/mth.& never lost signal/connection. We also have a UK Network 3 Honor 7 Smartphone which gives us permanent Internet (u can also change to wi fi ). We can use this here, UK, India and Australia (other homes) unlimited calls, texts, internet. About £35/mth.

Hope all goes well. Not sure who you are with Insurance-wise but cottage damaged in December's Inundation and first claim to Allianz via broker absolute disaster. Loss of power, a full month to get an assessor to property and so far 800€ out of pocket and living in fading hope of being reimbursed.  Will be changing to AXA-no broker. Thank the Lord we also have the Mojacar apartment.

On a personal note Allianz is paying for the damaged Solar just waiting on decision re damage to finca. Gratefully minor.

Will wait to see if they pay out on the leaks!!!!! The solar assessor said it was unlikely & a friend has quoted from their.www t& c, 40lires/sq. m in 24 hrs and winds in excess if 80kph are necessary so how do you prove or disprove? Still the Solar is a relief but no IVA.

Mystery solved (sort of) it is a different Richard, the Richard you have passed on isnt the pool maitenance guy that David recommended, so I will continue my search.

Albeit the Richard you recommended is a good contact as I will be needing some building work at some point.
