There's no way round it unfortunately. Rules on work permits are pretty strict. You either need a "Contrato Completo" and the company offering the position is the one that has to apply for the work permit; they will be obliged to prove that your skills are so unique they are not available outside Spain, nor indeed the EU, or you need to apply as Self-Employed - they are your two options I'm afraid.
HOWEVER ... I would definitely suggest getting in touch with your nearest consulate, tell them you've been offered a position with flexible hours and see what they say - they will be the definitive word on this.
