Hi all

We moved here just before Xmas into a new build/restoration. We have a group of mailboxes outside the property for locals and mail is delivered regularly.

However we have been given 4 different addresses, all similar. from estate agent, padron, car registration and social security to register with doctors. We have not received any mail!! Not sure where to ask advice. Have been through CATS who did medical paperwork ??

Any advice appreciated.

Really need help with this.

After going to Correos in Albox and verifying correct address with medical records: we saw and spoke to postman today who says our address is not the same as the "bank" of mailboxes he delivers to which are against the wall of our house. Says he can't deliver until address is ammended. We have ammended address twice with all banks and important place. They are not going to believe us if we change it again!!! apart from the cost. Help

Use a post box address.  So much easier.  There is Forget Me Not in Buganvillas but there is probably somewhere closer that you can use.  Well worth the cost.   No problems with mail then.  Most bills etc can be found online.

Presume you have your surname on the post box but I'd look into getting a mail drop point such as The Post Shop or similar business.  You can also get a box in the Correos office itself.  I live out of town but being in centre of a village I have a mail box on my house but wasn't getting mail until I spoke to the local post mistress.

Problem is we have already sent letters out to various banks etc and are also awaiting SIP cards. Worrying we won't get any of the important documents. We ahve decided to get a PO box but what has happened to all the mail gone missing??

Have spoken to Local Correos who told us to speak to the post man.

Although mailboxes including ours are attached to OUR house the postman will not deliver!!?

Yeah a lot won't deliver to houses directly depending where they are hence why see bunches of boxes but even then they may not deliver unless it is a yellow Correos cabinet containing boxes.  Two things will have happened to your current mail, recent may still be held by your nearest Correos office but the rest will have been returned if older mail.  It's amazing how post for other people end up in your box though, I think they just chuck it (deliver) anywhere especially if English looking name on envelope lol.
