I have a house just 9km outside of albox.

There are 2 pine trees that have caterpillars nesting in them.  I like recommendations for having them removed and the trees too!

They are both on private land so they won’t do it.

I suggest you ask your spanish neighbours for someone to remove them, but also you cannot removed pine trees in Spain it is illegal.

I have just moved to Albox and have a few on my pine tree. Are they harmful and what are they?

Google them it will tell you all about them, if you have dogs keep the well away they are dangerous especially to dogs.

Do not try and remove them yourselves, they are dangerous to humans and animals, whilst they are in the nest they are harmless, but they will drop from the nests when they are ready usually about March time, it when they are on the ground they become dangerous, if touched they will shoot their hairs into your or the dogs skin, and that area will then become paralysed.my dog lost half of his mouth when it went to sniff them.
