I read somewhere that when you take up residence in a EU country you still have the right to vote in UK elections for a number of years. Is this correct?

Yes - you may continue to register to vote by post in UK elections for up to 15 years outside UK

“... a financial system in tatters...”

Errrr you really have to lay off the drugs there - that goes beyond codswallop to “Brexiteers fantasy” ....

And even if the above really did bear much resemblance to reality, life in Spain is STILL better than UK, with a MUCH cheaper standard of living, fabulous lifestyle and better quality of life.

So once again the Brexiteers detractions are completely inane. This forum exists because people want to leave UK and move to Spain ... and here you are, on this forum, claiming life in Spain isn’t as good as it is in Britain!!! *hysterical laughter* - I’ll give you this - you’re great amusement value.

Well, beings you think it’s so bad here, at least we know you’ll stay closeted in your little utopia ....

I notice you didnt say about unemployment etc,yes life in Spain is on the whole better but it is getting more expensive to live there.
I have NEVER said living in the UK is better than living in Spain so it is you on the drugs(please try to wean yourself off)
BUT  I do not live with rose tinted glasses on

I love Spain and have done so since the 70s when I first visited, and have spent near 20 years promoting the advantages of living there

all my last post pointed out  was that carp goes on everywhere, and in or out of the EU does not help

Err I must be on the wrong forum. I thought as a property owner I could join. I didn’t realise I had to move to Spain! How many others are in the same position?

Wow .   I hate to think what would have happened if that idiot for the Labour Party and his charming Abbott had moved into no 10  !

So a former top Human rights barrister who was a successful Director of public prosecutions and is renowned for his attention to detail and thoroughness would not be better than a sex pest with the retention of a goldfish 😀😀😀

Absolutely not. He sympathises with peodophile grooming gang participants.
