Hi, I've been trying to arrange an Hospital appointment in Almeria but get no further than hospital switchboards as

nobody speaks English (understandably).  I had throat cancer and have to have 6 week check ups by endoscope.  I understand there is

and Ear, nose and throat clinic ie Hercule overa, but have tried several times to speak to someone without success, I even went to this hospital, but nobody I saw there spoke any English.  I wonder if you know of anybody that could translate for me.  I am willing to pay for private treatment.  If you have any suggestions, I would be most grateful.

go and see the private doctor in Mojacar in Parque /Commercial and they will refer you to the private clinics that are in Vera or in Hercal Overa.  I don't think that you will get any joy in the Spanish hospitals unless you are in the system or covered by health insurance or an A & E emergency

Alicia is correct, Otorinolaringologica in Huércal-Overa is for Spanish health system.  You’ll need to be referred to one of the private hospitals and will require private health cover (your EHIC MAY cover it, but I am uncertain of that)
