My wife visited Vera on Friday 10th this month and parked in the (banking) square in Vera at about 1730.

She was issued a parking ticket for €4.95 at 1845 not realising the parking time limitations.

She did not spot the ticket until she got home to Albox. (low wiper blades) She, or indeed I, did not know the procedure to pay in the envelope and into the machine had she noticed it anyway (but have learned since).

How do we (I) pay this fine now, belatedly, and how much will the fine be?

I have heard wild stories regarding mix up of addresses/post boxes etc. Trying to stay law abiding and although it is a trivial offence, these issues can become exasperating we have heard. The car is registered in Albox.

Hi,

Have heard of 2 alternatives although we paid at La Caixa when we had 2 Guardia tickets. The other was The Correos but someone posted some time back to say no longer.

If it's like Police fines then 20 days and half the fine & then full fine after that.

Only Parking Ticket ever was in Segovia some years back but there was no fine on it when presented at Correos, Puerto Lumbreras. It was just a warning.

We had exactly the same experience but it was in Hurcal Overa not Vera.

In our case we went to the HO town hall and paid it so I'm guessing it would be the same in Vera

Like Bob said pay it promptly and you get a 50% discount on the fine

We too got one recently in the same square, and we paid at the meter in the square. You press the fine button if I recall, and an envelope comes out and you put in your fine and the tkt and redeposit it in the machine. End of. We popped in a €5 Euro note as had no change lol.

Just paid a parking ticket in Vera. Here's how it works. You should have a small envelope with probably 2 other bits of paper. Find a machine where you buy your ticket. Press the YELLOW button till you get English on screen messages. Press the BLUE button and add coins to the amount of the fine. (You might be able to pay by card?) Press the GREEN button and a receipt will appear. Put the receipt and the other bits of paper in the envelope and seal it. At the bottom of the machine is a slot just big enough for the envelope. If in doubt try to find a parking warden and ask for help.
