This is something we will have to do in a couple of months.

Can you explain what an empadronamiento is? Is it your padron you get from the town hall?

Also, the paperwork that you used when applying for your initial residencia card..help, it's been five years and I can't remember what we took!

Certificado de empadronamiento is obtained from your Ayuntamiento.  If you are renewing, it is a much much simpler process and exchanging one Residencia car for another - with permanent residence no less!!

There will be the obligatory gastos to pay at the bank, original and photocopy of passports, proof of continued entitlement to health services ... not sure what else; as we are in a ... dynamic .... time with Brexit approaching, you’d be well advised to seek advice from a Gestor or Asesor who deal with Almería frequently and know what the latest requirements are

Thanks Dario...I had an awful feeling that we were going to have to search through reams of paperwork!

We already have permanente residencia so hopefully, a change of address won't be too painful 😊
