Padron
How do I enrol on the Padron if I don`t have a rental contract and do not own the property that I am living in.We have an informal agreement with the apartment owner.Information on the internet is confusing to say the least!

Without a formal rental agreement I don't think you can register on the padrón as it is related to the property and the people living there. An informal agreement provides no proof you live at the property and for the padrón you'd need to show the rental agreement to the ayuntamiento.
Hi, my belief is that Rob is correct but it may be worth asking Emma at GL expat Services, Turre or CAT Services, la Alfoquia. Both of these are on www/ Google search. There is also www.citizensadvice.org.es although I found it a bit confusing to use.

Hi Allen, having today been into Vera to do my Padrón, I’d suggest it will be difficult to get a Padrón without a formal agreement.
The Ayuntamiento Vera required us to supply:-
Copy of rental contract; copies of passport and NIEs for both of us; copy of IBI relating to property and copy of DNI of the owner.
Now I am not in a position to comment on whether the above should be necessary, only that we registered at Vera, which is where I believe you’ll be required to, and that was the documentation they stated they required.....

Probably best - when you go in, go through the glass doors to the ticket machine - you need to take a ticket. If you go before 11:30, you’ll have two options on screen. Select “Mesa” and then “Convencional”
You’ll be given a ticket beginning with “M” then take a seat and wait for number to be called. They seem to move pretty quickly there .... buena suerte :-)

We tried to get on the Padron. You need at least a 6 month rental agreement translated into Spanish , an IBI receipt (Bin charge) NIE numbers, your landlords NIE numbers and their passport numbers

Just for information - it varies from one town hall to another! In July at Roquetas de Mar we obtained the Padron certificate. We had an 11-month rental
agreement translated into Spanish , and our passports. That was all.
