Vera Playa Maps and boundries

Nudism is not illegal in Spain. So technically the whole beach from Villaricos to Garrucha is a nudist beach.

In reality the Nudist Zone is an area (unofficial) restricted to 2Km long. The textiles;-) as the Nudists like to call non Nudi people, can use the whole beach if they want to. There is no Nudi Taliban Police forcing you to, "Drop them stranger."

If you take the Consum supermarket (sits outside the Unofficial Nudist Zone) as your marker, the Nudi 2Km area will start around there and run down towards Villaricos.

The beach at the back of Consum is normally textile territory. But there can be some cross over flesh-points;-)

Seriously it is not a problem. The nudist apartments are clearly marked. There are lots of apartments in and around Vera Playa. Cheap and not so cheap. I would check out the maintenance. Can you see that it has been maintained. If there is a pool, has it been maintained. Vera Playa is a beautiful place to rent. A regular bus runs from Vera down to Garrucha/Mojacar. So go for it.

Thanks for your reply...it made me smile....can I ask if you know the complexes or urbanisations by name that I should be looking for in rentals or will it be just road names....somebody suggested "La Marina" is good....thanks again.

At this time of year, there will be very very VERY little advertised from September - most places are trying to fill for Summer rentals.

It’s unlikely again at this time you’ll be able to find somewhere simply by choosing an urbanización - you might be lucky, but you’d be better off going through estate agents and asking what is available as from September.  I’d suggest Marisela Reche at Remax or Valerie Gage at am3 - both are English speaking

I think you will find that nudists are allowed on most of Vera Playa beaches but not on the beaches in Cuevas. Palomares beach is not nudist  and hs signs up. THe boundary id the rambla by El Chumbo.

There doesn't seem to be any fixed boundaries as such, the main accommodation is to the North or Villaricos end of the plays but I have occasionally seen them as far as the Zimbaly hotel 

The boundaries are all unofficial. The Palomares signs saying, "this beach is not a nudist beach," is technically illegal.

As nudists are allowed by law on all public beach's in Spain. 

So this too is unofficial. It just makes sense for like minded people to gather together. 

If I am a nudist and I see a No Nudi sign, I will get the message and move to an area where I will meet like minded people,

They can of course protest. And I believe there has been a few in Palomares. But really, there is a very long beach, and room for everybody.
