Living in Vera Playa
Hi I have seen a place in Vera Playa and we were wondering if the place goes to sleep out of season because it would be a forever home.

Hi. We have a holiday home in Vera Playa though this covers a big area. We are just outside Gurrucha. We've been out in Feb and oct into Nov. It gets quieter, obviously I suppose, with about 1 in 3 restaurants open.
Certainly less people about and cooler. Can get quite cold in the evenings. Just about all beach bars shut.
That's a basic view, as we have found. Full time residents will be able to give more examples. Good luck. Martin.

I cannot speak for Vera Playa itself,But nearly all the coastal areas go into a sort of hibernation, having said that, the bars/restaurants that are open are fairly busy.
I go to Mojacar over winter and to be honest much prefer it,no screaming kids/ objenctionable ar$es,no problem getting tables etc. I think if you live there full time you will begin to look forward to the slow winter times

Hi Ian
My wife and myself are full time residents in Vera Playa and we have seen more and more people making the move to live out here.
Yes, a lot of the bars do close but there are quite a few in Mojacar that stay open as well as the some of the ones in the area behind the Consum. One just needs to get out and find them.
We have found plenty to keep us occupied, from going out weekly with the Mojacar Walking Group (Oct to March), to attending various cultural and sporting events.
I will always recommend you follow all the various town council's facebook pages as that is where you find out about all the various events that are happening.
