Tv fix Is it true or a con - Page 2

My Famaval 1.3 dish in Garrucha Vera area gets all bbc itv channel 4/5 plus most freesat channels and 10 movie channels including Film 4 all as featured on the freesat channel list.

Bbc and itv gets a varying signal quality strength between 39% and 49% depending on weather etc

Other freesat channels show a signal quality strength up to 80% - Blaze for example.

Ignore negative comments 1.3m wont work!

You need careful computerized alignment. Manual set up is not accurate enough. Even tightening the bolts can cause loss of signal.

Larger is better but most urbanizations usually have such restrictions on large dishes.

A professional satellite installer is needed, persevere with your existing dish it will work with the correct type of lnb.

Your installer will advise if you need an upgrade of lnb.

Do you know of any companies in the Vera area that have the necessary equipment and knowledge to align a smaller dish or is there a specific question that I should ask while trying to find a suitable company.  Thanks for your very useful information.

you just need to ensure they use computerised location equipment. So ask.

The chap I used I think went back to the UK.

He used an all in one unit which gave him reception on a small tv screen plus signal levels. He was also very pedantic to save reception whilst tightening the bolts which took two or three attempts to maintain the best signal. He then came down to our tv and showed us exactly which channels we could expect.

Sorry to pester but I am sure that somewhere you have specified the satellite to use. I think you said its footprint went as far south as Malage.  I havnt been able to find this post if it was you Rascalmate would you mind repeating the information on this thread.
