Hi there

Raising the GTIberia thing again !

Has anyone actually managed to talk to a helpful reliable person at this company?   If so, can I please have their phone number?

We have their holiday TV package at 6 euros a month for when we're using it. That was end Sep/early Oct 2023. WHEN we managed to get it activated, after several phone calls to the number which was answered during that time, the TV service was good.  As required, we sent an email a few days before we left, asking for the service to be deactivated on our leaving day. No response to that email.

Ever since, our bank a/c has been debited 6 euros a month form Nov 23 - right up to March 2024.  I have sent emails reminding them I have already asked in early Oct for it to be deactivated. Apart from one short reply apologising & saying a refund would be given for Nov 2023. That has not happened!  Several more emails from me - none answered.  The only recent response out of the blue - an email "no-reply email address" sending me copies of Nov23 - Mar 24 invoices!  As if I didn't know they've charged me!

That original phone number was answered a while back - by Populoos - the internet provider ! Unfortunately they don't appear to have anything to do with GTIberia!  By the way, what a super company Populoos is - very efficient - can recommend them!!

I look forward to hearing from anyone who has good news about GTIberia!

thanks

Ekim

Hi Ekim,

Oddly enough we had problems last time, Oct 23. Getting it switched on took about 5 days. Worst I ever known. Previously it was a few hours.

Try ringing them on 900697066.

Otherwise consider cancelling your DD, or doing a charge back if possible. Good luck.

Martin.

Hi Martin

Thanks for your reply.

Yes we had similar problem getting "activated" end of Sep 23.  I called that line several times ( it was always answered back then ) & although the people I spoke to were polite, pleasant & tried to be helpful, it still took about 5 days to get the tv service. they seemed to say that the dept that actioned such requests were located "elsewhere", but I don't really know how that could have affected anything!

That number, by the way, is the one which was answered by Populoos recently, not GTI !

Yes I have considered getting my bank to charge back, but was thinking that GTI would eventually answer & resolve the problem.  No such hopes it seems!  But I probably don't have any other choice.

We're going out mid May & it does make me think - how does anyone get the tv activated if emails/ phones are never answered?

At this stage, I absolutely don't recommend anyone to set up a new contract with them!  Even if it's possible!

All best

Ekim

To be totally honest in all the time we’ve had the TV service I haven’t bothered about having it suspended while we’re back in the UK. For the sake of €6 per month it’s not worth worrying about especially when you know for sure every time you come back it’s definitely going to be on!!

Hi every suffers of GTI, I couldn't get any channels so I emailed them twice with no reply and then I saw the link that Rex gave us. I ticked both boxes and left a message and not much later I had a very nice, helpful young woman ring me and patiently talked me through some options and then we got the right on back. So now I've got all the channels back . She said if I needed help again just email them and leave my number. Thank you Rex.
