Hi again, as I mentioned previously I also contacted an established Company in VR-Wood to Go, you may know them and we have used them over the years. Anyway they have just come back to me and of course mentioned if your property had electric laid to it in the first instance and was it a question of re-connection or does a line need to be laid to the house. In either case Endesa the electric company.
However they also mention a Kerry Fagg who has access to contacts and is setting up some form of agency to assist ex-pats. Her Telephone is 0034 644 422 572. Sarah at Wood2Go thinks she may be able to help you.
So there we are I can only hope that helps. If you get a chance to find www.wood2go on line and send Sarah a thankyou I am sure that would be appreciated.
I will end by again striking a note of caution. An electrician needs to be Registered and Legal and we have instances of non-such practising and then having to call on a registered electrician to sign off on their work which then has to be signed off by Endesa. So a cascade of fees. Also if there are a number of providers then get written quotes. Again we have a Spanish guy in Santa Maria,/ Huercal Overa, unless he has moved who gives no written estimate/bill, wants to be paid in cash and then when things go wrong you have no come back. This one we are personally taking to Court unless he has disappeared. We have already denounced him to the Guardia. So you see even after 13 years one can still get caught out!!!!!!!!!!!!
Again, every best wish for your future in Spain.
