...d up the poop. One of the dogs we walked we are now fostering. One of the ladies in charge came and vetted our house. We live in a bungalow with a walled secure garden which she inspected. I offered her to check out the interior but this she declined. We were in lockdown then so not easy to do. we have plenty of space for our fostered dog who is quite big. He does not bark nor cause trouble. We have taken him into one of the bars in Turre where he was kept on the lead and was liked by a couple of people in the bar (one Spanish, one English). We have lived in Turre permanently for almost 5 years. We have come to this location on and off since 2004/5. Our experience is that as much Spanish people let their dogs wander as do the Brits. I agree we are immigrants and like to treat our adopted country with respect. However, to gain respect you need to give it. Your attitude maybe the cause of some of the "backlash" you have experienced. I certainly do not like the "dazer" as you call it. Dogs are sentient beings. How would you like a loud noise in your ears if you upset someone? We totally agree with your message regarding if you have a dog then you must look after it properly. We have had 2 dogs in our past both of whom lived to their 15th year. always treated them well and picked up after them. We do not agree with letting a dog eat from the table if you are eating etc. It is the people who need training and not the dogs as much, as they are doing what comes natural to them. So, please do not treat all dog owners the same. Some answers on here should tell you we are not. Take care and I hope that your attitude mellows somewhat.

I understand that you don't like the idea of a dog dazer, but hang on ....we are not talking about human beings! A dog will learn to run off and will bear no grudge or suffer lasting damage. People use electrified fences to keep farm animals in and no one says ' how would YOU feel .....etc.'. We tend to humanise animals and although I would never agree to physically harming a.dog I don't see the harm in training methods such as the dazer or squirting water (if they are close enough and you have a water pistol ready).
