Sadly, no - public transport doesn’t stop here. You really need a car to live here.

Sorry, Bob, the abbreviation LBMOT-T still does not mean anything to me. I have never heard of Pete Seeger before but when I looked him up on the internet I recognised the song "We Shall Overcome"  but that doesn't explain what LBMOT-T means.

OK, so he didn't write the song but,

Little Boxes made of Tick-tacky.

Again just a personal perception as have been in a number and could live in them.

The estate as you come in from the Garrucha- Los Gallardos Road and first on right that seems more pleasant & less claustrophobic.

Bye again.

It really is a very personal choice. We have lived on Vera Playa for a number of years now and love it. Yes it is much quieter in the winter but that is our favourite time. There are actually many more people here in the winter than there were a few years ago and most of the bars and restaurants are open all year round (not the beach bars). We have the bus that runs hourly and is usually punctual in the winter, the Consum supermarket for lovely fresh fish, meat and the deli counter and if you want an ex pat community which we personally don't, then that seems to be focused round Hotel Street. As I say what suits one etc.

Good luck and hope you find your own personal paradise

Hi

I’m Michelle from Sligo in West of Ireland and hoping to purchase in Turre/Vera Playa area as I’ve been a couple of times as I’ve family who recently purchased there .

Is it a good place to live ? Would you recommend other towns nearby? Any must do’s or don’ts?

Ideally I’d like somewhere to holiday in and eventually move to...

Hi

We live in Los Gallardos, and love it.We are selling your house, only to get a larger property,so that we can bring my mother in law over.Other than that,it's fantastic.

Ten minutes to Turre, and Garrucha, for the beaches and bars.

Try Los G. You'll be suprised

OK, thanks for your reply, Bob. I have looked up the Little Boxes song on You Tube to see what it was about and after listening to the words, I see what you mean. That could be a description of many places! Regards, Mike

Torrevieja would be a prime example. We were told over a decade ago that.it was.the spread.of Brits from Torrevieja and a chap.called Condry that led to Albox. Just another tale possibly.
