Hi all thinking of coming to SJDLT for the new year to our apartment, just wondering how we’ll find it? Do they celebrate the new year with a fiesta? Are bars & restaurants closed around new year for holiday?    Thinking of being in that sunshine rather than suffering the chilly winter of the uk 😎😎

Hi

We moved to SJLT Feb this year. We surveyed area previously between September wnd December and found some bars were open. Speaking to neighbours, Gemva was open and I believe another bar that does the grapes at midnight; it will either be Meson Pepe or La Venta as both of those are open all year apart from a month’s holiday which they alternate. I would also think that some of the restaurants will be open around Mar de Pulpi as that is really growing and guessing people will be down for New Year. I would think the 3 Kings festival (6 Jan) will be in Pulpi otherwise there is one at Garrucha. Sorry to be vague but we plan to be in SJLT for New Year too so it will be out first experience. Xx
