... need to control the borders, but sad to say that has long been Britain’s weak spot - even prior to EU membership.  Are we really so foolish as to ignore history and think much in that respect will change post-Brexit?

All it will do is make it more difficult for expats to travel and indeed settle.  Just my opinion though
