Eh? You wrote the above response at 130am, so maybe over-tired? At any rate it makes no sense - as my OP made no suggestion of disregarding any rules or laws! PS: you said avoid twice ...

Yep - not sure where poster was going with this one Chrisso50, you most certainly have not advocated disregarding laws.

Maybe it’s a touch of Brexit Fever making póster misread posts and howl at the moon? *shrug* I know not .... I do know that Brexit just might not be Brexit though after developments yesterday!!

Just ignore his comments chrisso.  The man has form on other forums and he has a really bad attitude.

More confirmation on Thursday night re ETIAS. Juncker’s spokeswoman Natasha Bertaud told Sky News’ Faisal Islam that after Brexit Brits will indeed be charged €7 to buy three-year travel passes to holiday in the EU. 

So €2 a year, hardly an imposition.

No, not an imposition really - but still annoying that formerly free travel will no incur just an extra bit of messing around.  That being said, from what I understand, any non-Schengen country would have been subject to ETIAS, so it would have applied to UK Brexit or no.

And will Brexit actually happen? Fingers crossed it all falls in a big hole and UK remains where it belongs - part of Europe.  

(Sits back and awaits screams of frothing outrage from hardline Brexiteers ... living in Spain ... 🤔)

I do get a feeling Dario with the news that is currently being bandied about here in the UK that we are heading for a second referendum. Lets say it is my gut instinct. We will wait and see.

I do hope so.  My humble opinion is that “divorcing” from Europe is a big mistake, financially and in terms of trade and also security and intelligence co-operation.  Britain is no longer the Empire it once was and I fear we need our European cousins.  Much has been made of the need to control the borders, but sad to say that has long been Britain’s weak spot - even prior to EU membership.  Are we really so foolish as to ignore history and think much in that respect will change post-Brexit?

All it will do is make it more difficult for expats to travel and indeed settle.  Just my opinion though

Northern Ireland and the DUP May save the day.
