Hello!!
Does anyone know where the nearest garden centre to Mojacar is? One with lots of choice of plants, palm trees etc. And sells gardening equipment too? I thought there was one in Garrucha but couldn't find it?

2 that we use which are both very good are:
1) 50 metres off the La Buganvillas roundabout between Garrucha and Vera in the direction of Vera. Isabel there is very helpful and they'll deliver (and phone you when they are setting off);
2) at the roundabout opposite Lopez on the El Real Industrial Estate between Antas and Vera.

Hi, second the g/c opposite Lopez.
There is also Hortiflor up the road almost opposite "Commercial Vera" opposite the cemetery and another one we buy the nicest best value pots from on the road into Vera off the roundabout as if your going towards Lopez, something Alonso its called, closer to December they start doing huge bags of oranges for about €6, great for just breaking apart and eating or again great for juicing.
Nothing beats fresh from the juicer o/j, no preservatives etc, great for breakfast.
As for gardening equipment, you can get stuff from a place called Leroy Merlin in Murcia, they have a website and they deliver via DHL, another place we see advertise in the local free papers is Brico Depot but theyre in Almeria, but you could make a day of it by visiting the port and the city as well as Cabo de Gata national park, plus theres also Tabernas close by where most of the spaghetti westerns were filmed and theres a western style theme park set there.
Lopez at Antaz do garden furniture but its a bit expensive, theres always Ebay es.

There's also a smaller Hortiflor in Mojacar itself. It's on the left hand side approaching the big hotels on the road to Garrucha.

I would not go to the one in Mojacar. Very expensive.
Unbelievably cheap one just off A7 Antas/Vera junction opposite Lopez Fernandez Fereretia. Huge selection great prices. Sorry can't remember what it was called.
