Hello, some advice please. We are currently on holiday and my son has had a cold. He now has a very tight chest. He has grown out of childhood asthma but when he has a cold he can end up with a tight chest. Where can we go to get some steroids to help treat it if he needs them. He has a blue ventolin inhaler but this is not helping him much. Many thanks, Mel.

There is an English speaking doctor in the commercial center in Mojacar who is very good.

Centro Medical Center is on the 1st floor of the commercial center

Alternatively if you have your EHIC cards with you go to the Urgencias in Mojacar which is signposted off the playa near the commercial centre.

Hope this helps

Many thanks. We do have our cards with us. Would we have to pay if he needs medicine?

Well I'm sure that if he needs medicine you will be willing to pay to get him better.

Yes thank you. Of course we would pay. It was just a question as never had to use health services all the time we’ve been away on holiday. I was just hoping someone could provide a sensible answer.

Please also be aware if you go to the Doctor in the commercial centre in Mojacar, that. He is private and charges for his consultation. The prescription will also be a private prescription that costs more. My advise is to use your E,111 card at the health centre to save yourself 50 euros +

Go to the local emergency centre, open 24/7 depending on where you are on holiday, here in Vera,it's easy to find and very friendly.
