I am hoping to buy it rent in Mojacar as love the area. However flights from UK are difficult. Some airlines dont fly during the winter months  to Almeria and are usually pricey flying out of gatwick or Heathrow. Other flights to Alicante or Malaga require a lengthy coach trip  hire car or expensive taxi.

This defeats the purpose of a stress free and reasonably priced holiday and may deter my friends from visiting in the Winter. What do others do for flights. Any suggestions?

And with executive shuttles costing about €30 from murcia to mojacar, fully air conditioned it's an easy trip...

London Stansted to Alicante or Murcia (Murcia is nearer, but fewer flights).

It is a very simple drive all on dual carriageway. Beware turning off for petrol/eating etc at the signs, unless you can see your exit back onto the road, some signs just take you into a town with no obvious signed return to the carriageway!

Easyjet from Gatwick have been all year round. Flights from £22. We just booked for november and with speedy boarding, extra leg room and bags etc less than £80 each return. Shuttlebus €18 from Almeria to loads of stops along the playa. If you needed it they will even book you a taxi. We used to go from Southend but unfortunately during the pandemic both easyjet and ryanair pulled out. We are hoping when rravel gets back to normal they will resume

Hi. I usually use Almeria but as you said, flights have either been stopped or moved. Stansted is another option for you but I recently did Alicante to East Midlands and back again, and used Exclusive Airport Shuttles to get home to Garrucha. Great service and I can just sit back and relax for £25. I am hoping flights return to Almeria & Murcia for East Midlands.

You better off going to TORQUAY.

Alicante is the best option as there are so many flights in and out and exclusive shuttles are excellent and provide a great service . There’s also the option of Murcia airport which is a bit closer than Alicante..
