Whilst you are here renting I would suggest you do all your homework if you decide to move permanently. Would suggest you look into requirements for living in Spain and most importantly to look at health care costs given your wife has a condition.

Thanks for info regarding health care costs. We will probably only rent anyway until we work out the pros and cons especially regarding health care. The problem we are finding is renting a property from beg of April to Beg of July.. We can only do 90 days and can only go from end of March to Spain via ferry due to the dog. Still, we will get there am sure !!!

try looking at Los Atalonyes in Mojacar although you may not get ground floor there are lifts

Hi Paul. As an add on to your accommodation query, when you get here you and your wife may wish to consider attending a group called Enable.  This is run voluntarily by my colleague Ray Daniel ( a fully qualified,  highly experienced and outstanding therapist and personal trainer living and working in the local area) and myself ( a fully qualified Yoga and Pilates teacher).  Enable is for people who face any kind of physical or mental challenges and for their families and carers. We meet for an hour every Wednesday at 11.30, in the rooms alongside Turre Football Ground ( plenty of parking available right outside). We focus on simple exercises.
