Currently, I am back in Ireland. Since the last Brexit Referendum I have become interested in politics in the UK. But, as an interested observer I've picked up on much of the political situation in the UK or perhaps with the electorate in general including expats in Spain.
I've seen Brexit banned as a subject in some of the pubs in Mojacar and in one a fine is introduced for merely mentioning the B-word. Even on the This-is-Mojacar-Facebook website there are differing opinions of whether UK politics should even be discussed. However, this post is not about Brexit, but UK politics in general. I've watched political debates on television and there have been some good speakers supporting and condemning the UK government.
I've seen two of the latest opinion polls suggest that the Tories will win by a landslide. Then I read some articles on today's UK online newspapers which suggest through tactical voting Mr Johnson won't find himself in Number Ten after the election. Furthermore, the Tories may have to share government again.
Can any expat Brits or indeed non-expat-Brits throw some light on the true political situation currently in the UK?
