Just out of interest really but does anyone know if the 90 in 180 rule applies to Eira citizens.

In theory it should as they reside outside Schengen area but conversely they have freedom of movement in EU?

I always believed the 90 day rule existed for UK residents before brexit but was not applied as digital passports and scanning was not in place so is it all the fault of brexit or has technology just caught up?

Whilst you are outside the Schengen, you have Freedom of Movement, so can move and settle wherever you like.  Your only obligation is to register if you intend to spend longer than 90 days, but if you don’t it’s an administrative offence only.  As an EU Citizen you can’t be deported from the Schengen nor banned from re-entry, so to all intents and purposes 90/180 is a non event for you.
