When driving from Alicante airport to Los Gallardos, is it better to go the normal motorway or Toll road. And how much would it cost on the toll road, and how much quicker. Thank you

Not sure about that, however if your flight time means travelling at night the toll road is free and empty of traffic

Agreed (by 18Km to Los G) however the toll road in my opinion is a much more enjoyable drive as it follows the coast and you can put the cruise control on and enjoy the ride without all the traffic.

With the exception of Murcia, I’ve never found the Autovía very crowded - certainly not to traffic jam point.

Alicante to Los Gallardos by Motorway - about 2,5 hours - and I use cruise control 80% of the way.

Are you meaning the Vera - San Javier toll motorway which bypasses Cartagena and Aguilas?  I'm puzzled as I've never used or seen a toll motorway from Alicante to Almeria and I have travelled to Alicante on a regular basis.

I could be wrong. Was thinking back more than 10 years, I’m sure we used to get Murcia to Cuevas, I’m not sure where it goes now. Not to worry. All sorted thankyou
