I'm fully jabbed but still got Covid. Do I need a pre departure test if I'm now negative?
Despite being fully vaccinated I got Covid on the 19th January, however I'm now ok and have obtained 2 negative results. I've checked the Gov.UK website and the Spanish Travel Health (SpTH) website, and am now very confused as to what I need do in order to gain entry into Spain. We both have the NHS Travel pass, albeit that mine was cancelled when I informed them that I had tested positive for Covid, but this was reinstated after I received two negative results!
My wife and I have a holiday home in Mojacar and both have N.I.E numbers and pay the local taxes, so I'm guessing we are not classed as tourists, but neither are we residents and it seems that different rules apply for both categories. Furthermore the "SpTH" website refers to "Risk and High Risk" countries but the UK doesn't seem to appear! I'm hoping this lessens what I may have to do (e.g. a pre departure test), in order to comply with Spanish rules. We are familiar with the Health Control Form having completed it when we were out in Sept'21, but the fact I had Covid seems to have added another layer of issues. Any guidance would be much appreciated. Thank you, Malcolm
