I believe I can get a senior's travel card which gives half price rail travel.
Does anyone know how and where I apply

Hi,
I believe it's a pensionista card you get and that allows certain discounts. My friends applied at their Town Hall for it.
Hope that helps

Get the form from your Ayumtiamiento. Easy to fill in, in duplicate and post it with 2 Spanish size passport photos to the address given and it is back within a month

When theres no real rail system why bother ?
Closest starting rail station is Lorca, ok that gets you to most if not all the big cities but if you depend on public transport just to get to Lorca that's a very long day.

For rail travel discount only, unfortunately you have got to apply at the rail station, with ID, and it’s called Tarjeta Dorado, cost 6 euros valid for a year
