Wow.  What motivation would you imagine someone would have to undertake this detailed work so politely requested?

Irrelevent to Lubrin?  How would you know?  Many of us don't live in Lubrin but we do know it a little bit having lived in this part of Spain for years.

Lubrin is a not too large village quite distant from most of the larger villages or towns.  It has no large supermarket but various small ones which probably are more expensive as small ones tend to be and with limited choice.  Wine can be cheap if you are not bothered about what you drink. A 1 litre tetrabrik of Don Simon red is about 1.25 euros.  As we are at the moment passing through an economic crisis in europe, prices are not static and fruit and veg and the prices of virtually everthing else have skyrocketed.  You are unlikely to get any clear idea on prices for your future move which I believe is not imminent.

There are two or three bars and restaurants serving simple and inexpensive meals but I doubt if you can buy cooked chicken as a takeaway in such a small place.  The village boasts an Almazara  (olive mill) where you can buy delicious ecological virgin extra olive oil at around  90 euros for three 5 litre bottles, current price.  You don't seem to be a water drinker, but drinking water is usually excessively hard and so  most people in Almeria buy mineral water as even the stuff from the mountain springs furs up your electric kettle.  Having said that, you can buy a 5 litres bottle for under 60 cents from Lidl,  but your nearest Lidl is probably Vera (30 km) or Albox (35km).  Lidl do publish price list leaflets weekly on their App in case you are interested. The market in Lubrin is on Wednesdays but it is not very big and with no more than 20 stalls, a few of which sell fruit and veg but there is a larger and  better market for these in Vera.

I hope this has been relevant enough for you but prices are fluctuating and the cheapest fiood prices are not usually in small villagesvand you have asked for a lot of very detailed stuff.

🤣 😂 🤣

You have such a lovely manner about you, I've really warmed to you.

Next Wednesday I'll get up very early and take a note pad to the market and spend my day doing your research for you to save you the bother. I'll be sure to consult your list at all times so I don't accidentally include any unspecified items.

And I'll do it again the following week because produce and prices could change. And every week until you retire, it will give me something to do. Is that what you want?

Have you been to Lubrín? Lubrín residents are a good friendly bunch happy to help anyone.

Are you planning to retire here?

Or are you, as I initially suggested, researching for something else?

Or are you a troll, entertaining yourself with nonsensical requests and waiting to see who bites, how far people will go?

Hello and thanks for your response.

I'm not looking foir opinions, or views, or ideas about life(!) only factual responses to the questions I asked..

As I replied to a previous response by another poster:

I am an Englishman, currently residing in Canada.

I have visited Spain several times and have greatly enjoyed the many beautiful experiences there.

I am planning to retire to Spain within a few years.

All of my queries have been in support of that plan.

I have not asked generic questions about living as an expat in Spain, relocation or water and have no interest in reading or discussing those matters, particularly since they were not requested and are completely irrelevant to my queries.

Specific questions are intended to generate specific answers, thus I asked questions intended to generate the specific answers I require.

I can't believe someone can be so obnoxious and still expect answers to questions about prices, which change continually.

While I am appreciative and thankful to those who have provided, or can provide, useful, relevant responses to my questions, I fail to understand what would compel someone to hijack a thread by responding with irrelevant (unrequested) information.

My questions were posted to the Lubrin forum, asking Lubrin specific questions, aimed at Lubrin residents....

...

Yet several responses were completely, irrelevant, uninformative and made by non Lubrin residents.

It hasn't felt warm, friendly and welcoming to this newcomer to the forums.

Perhaps respondents would be friendly if you weren’t so high-handed and obnoxious?

That aside, your “research” lacks merit.  For someone intending to retire to the area (providing they can get a visa) in a few years, any information provided you regarding prices today will be completely out of date and useless to you this time next year. So unless you are either writing some kind of guide and using others to do your work as has been suggested, or are intending to arrive within the next 6 months, your “research” is utterly pointless. As far as you could ascertain there may not even be a market in Lubrin by the time you arrive.

You claim water is irrelevant, yet if you are intending to settle in Lubrin, as you claim, I’m afraid the issue of water quality will be a big part of your life.

I have friends in El Marchal who I visit frequently, which is but a few minutes drive from Lubrin, they get water from a fuente as the tap water is … unpleasant.

You claim that others have not been friendly and helpful, yet you have come on here demanding a long and very specific list which would be completely irrelevant and out of date by your arrival time.

May I suggest you approach those that actually live here with a bit more openness towards general information they can offer - and do offer freely? Your obnoxious and arrogant approach will not garner you the information you require.

But a quick trip across here to do your own bloody “research” may well do.
