Thank you to those who have responded so far. I greatly appreciate your enthusiasm and willingness to assist.

However,  since I never mentioned water in my initial post, might we please refrain from further water related comments.

I would still very much appreciate answers to my original questions about the market and current prices in Lubrin.

Thanks.

Vincent.

ok we won't mention water again don't know anything about the market in Lubrin perhaps someone who lives there can provide info but as I oroginally said cheaper here in Spain than in UK.

Have you considered that you might be asking too much of the very helpful respondents to this forum?

Perhaps you could offer a  paid job to someone to take photographs, list prices and compare sales places of such a long and detailed list ( apart from water of course)?

Just wondering why your still buying water, all water in Spain is drinkable unless coming from a private supply.

Most Spanish people I know don't drink tapwater because it usually tastes awful!  In Almeria and many other parts of Spain, tap water is very hard and has an unpleasant taste.   Our water in  Sorbas is from a local well  and often comes through brackish if there has been some repair along the network.  This is constantly happening.

Our house like many others in our area of southern Sorbas territory has a water deposit tank which lets in the mains water by the ball and chain method and a pump connected to the electric supply can bring it to the house.  Since  any impurities come to rest at the bottom of our tank which is measures 10 cubic metres and is underground, we prefer to be constantly connected to our water deposit as opposed to the mains direct as the water comes through clearer.  It still tastes unpleasant although the town hall plumbers treat it so that it is technically 'drinkable' or better said, safe to drink!  We always buy water for drinking and cooking.

Hi Researching,

Your requests are very specific, and you say no off topic comments and definitely DON'T mention the water. It's all about the market and food and drink prices.

Are you thinking of living in Lubrín? Or are you writing some kind of guide and using others to give you the information?

You call yourself 'researching' which is very unusual. What are you researching?

No off topic reply please 'Researching', just answer the questions.

Thank you.

Despite your not having answered any of the questions in my post, I will respond to yours.

Not because I agree with or am capitulating to your territorial, interrogatory tone, but because I remain optimistic that some kind soul will simply provide answers to my questions.

Also in the hope that the thread will cease being hijacked by those with nothing positive to contribute.

I am an Englishman, currently residing in Canada.

I have visited Spain several times and have greatly enjoyed the many beautiful experiences there.

I am planning to retire to Spain within a few years.

All of my queries have been in support of that plan.

I have not asked generic questions about living as an expat in Spain, relocation or water and have no interest in reading or discussing those matters, particularly since they were not requested and are completely irrelevant to my queries.

Specific questions are intended to generate specific answers, thus I asked questions intended to generate the specific answers I require.

While I am appreciative and thankful to those who have provided, or can provide, useful, relevant responses to my questions, I fail to understand what would compel someone to hijack a thread by responding with irrelevant (unrequested) information.

My questions were posted to the Lubrin forum, asking Lubrin specific questions, aimed at Lubrin residents.

Yet several responses were completely, irrelevant, uninformative and made by non Lubrin residents.

It hasn't felt warm, friendly and welcoming to this newcomer to the forums.

Hi have you ever thought about taking a vacation?Spain is a wonderful place to live,I personally came over 5 times a year b4 Brexit to DO MY RESEARCH, before I bought my holiday home and found out ALL the information I needed in that period.

Everyone has different views opinions and ideas about life, not just in spain.

I would advise you take time out and come and see for yourself and answer your own questions as no one can answer them better than yourself 1ST HAND .

Hello and thanks for your response.

I'm not looking foir opinions, or views, or ideas about life(!) only factual responses to the questions I asked..

As I replied to a previous response by another poster:
