Urgent prescription needed - no residency

Hi there,

We're currently staying near Garrucha. I have a tooth infection and urgently need a prescription for antibiotics. I'm a UK passport holder, not a resident and have no card. I got a prescription yesterday from Mobidoctor but the pharmacies won't issue it as it's not from a doctor in Spain. I know Sunday is the worst day but I urgently need to see someone today to obtain a prescription. Have looked for a private doctor who is open today but no luck so far. Please can anyone help or advise?|

Maybe you can present yourself at the hospital as an emergency??? If successful, surely they will give you a prescription for Antibiotics. If you don’t have a GHIC card, then you may be charged.

Why don't you go to the dentist. If it's a tooth infection they should be able to give you a prescription (same as UK would). You may have to pay the full cost but that should be fairly reasonable.the dentist near Iceland has English speaking staff try there.

Many thanks for your reply. Got the antibiotics but they're not working so am now looking for an emergency dentist.

Many thanks for your reply. Got the antibiotics but they're not working so I'm now looking for a really good English speaking dentist who deals with nervous patients - will try the one you suggest.
