We are hopefully in the process of buying a property in the area
we would appreciate any information we might need to know about the area and things like how to meet people Bars and restaurants that you might recommend
we are going to be in the area from the 23rd till the 26th December

Hi Nick and Linda
Welcome to Cuevas, which is a very Spanish part of this area. There are many bars, cafes and restaurants in and around the town, but the nucleus of British ex-pats seems to be in neighbouring Palomares where on Saturday afternoons they gather in the square and listen to the music entertainment. A good place to meet people.
We are still getting used to this area, having lived in Spain for ten years or so but just over the border in Murcia.

Thanks Maron we were only there for 3 days and back in the uk now we found palomares and met a few people in the square The area seems right for us and we have just put an offer on a house there so hope to move there next year if all goes ahead Hopefully if all legal we will be over a few times to start doing things to the house so would be great to meet up Will keep you informed our email is [email protected] We want the Spanish life and meet them
