Hi Austin and Trev
Lovely to hear from you. You will love the village. Is your house on the square? We are going in October and can't wait to get back! We intend to live there in a few years. How's your Spanish? Might be worth learning if you can as the locals are very friendly and chat away to you! If it's peace and quiet you want you have chosen the best place! They do have things going on occasionally. They had a 3 day event going on in the square where they set up a bar, stage and open air restaurant. They had singers on until 3am ( the Spanish know how to party) and when it was all over you could hear a pin drop! You will also hear the occasional horn bleeping but that's just various sellers bring fresh produce like bread, fish or fruit as many people in the village don't drive. There is a 24 hour petrol station just outside the village if you run out of anything. If you have any questions my email address is sarah_brand@hotmail.co.uk
We do various things when we visit (apart from chilling) We enjoy a trip to Mojacar where we visit restaurant Los Lucas ( run by two lovely English guys shown on TVs new life in the sun). We also love Granada, Velez Rubio and Velez Blanco where you will also find a stunning castle and a huge Olympic size pool, kids pool, with bar, restaurant where you can take some chairs and spend the whole day.
The main supermarkets/ shops are in Baza. They also have a plumbing shop, furniture and electrical shops and a shop a bit like B&Q. Anyway enough of me chatting!
Get in touch if need help with anything
