Hello. Asking for a bit of advice. Was in the area last May and had great weather and coming over again for a month from mid October. Was in the Costa Blanca last November and it was very cold at night in our apartment that only had one portable radiator. I have done some research and it appears that we should be warm enough at night over in Almeria but would appreciate comments from residents with knowledge of the climate. Thanks.

I Live in Oria which is very high up in the mountains and its quite chilly in the winter, need a log burner and jumpers at night. If you stick to places that are lower down, i.e. the coast you should be OK, but I still think you will need jumpers.

we have various levels of temperature here and have used our air con on heat in November/December in our apartment.  An electric blanket on the bed is also needed.

If anyone wants a couple of oil filled radiators give me a PM and you can have them, not used since been here.

It depends on your accomodation. We have a south facing apartment in Mojacar which is filled with sunshine all day long throughout the winter and never gets cold. I think we have put the heating on twice in the past three years. On the other hand, we also have a villa inland which is designed to be cool in summer . Daytimes are fine in the winter but the nights can be cold. I think just choose your accomodation wisely and bring a couple of sweaters.

Totally agree with Juliet make sure the property if possible is south facing. Our house in Costa Blanca is north east facing and very cold in winter especially the mornings. Air con on heat for at least three hours each night. Our apartment in Mojacar Playa is south facing and over winter never felt cold and only used air con once for heat. Regularly 20 degrees inside but again depends on weather. A hot water bottle is a very cheap way of keeping warm if needed !

October is a fantastic month still get some hot days but far more agreeable with cooler nights than the humid summer. Enjoy !

Thank you for replying, I believe the apartment has a South West orientation.
