Friends went privately, but were referred to Huercal Overa hospital. Day surgery

Who did they see to get recommenced, I thought huercal overa was the general hospital not a private one 

You go to your own doctor, tell them you want to go private, they refer you. 

I will try that I went to my GP health centre Mojacar and they have put me on the waiting list I mentioned about going private they said I would have to go to a private clinic in Vera 

Ok , you can go directly to them. I’m in Albox, they’re pretty good.

Hi, I have not had mine done yet so currently in a similar situation as your wife. I have been searching the internet for specialists that are within a reasonable distance ie Almeria Province. Although I did mention the problem to my doctor and she did put me on a list for Vera Health Centre I am certain it is a waste of time. Already on the list for 18 months it could be 4 years! After living here permanently 24 years I have had awful experiences using this route where one, to see a specialist at Huercal Overa hospital took over 4 years before I saw one....and she was awful! You do not need to see your doctor as you will be assessed at whatever specialist centre you decide on. Do a Yahoo or Google search for specialists in say Almeria Province or even just Almeria City and i think you will be surprised at how many there are to choose from! Do a search for the top rated specialists in say Almeria and you should see lists rating the performance of the surgeons and specialist centres. Click on any that sounds good and you will find extensive explanations re the surgery and how experienced, qualified the surgeon is so that you start to get a feel about it all. After some time searching and reading their websites you will gain incredible information re the problem. You will I suspect start to "home in" on ones that appear to be by far the best or even just one you regard greatly.

Good morningh BGE, thank goodness there is someone who read the post before giving an answer. Thanks for taking the time to answer. I normaly condem the person who asks the question that can be simply answered by Googling (new verb I believe?) but I was inerested in someones personal experance.

I used Dr. Mariano Gomez Reolid. He is in the centre of vera town.....  he literally gave me my sight back....he was recommended by a neighbour who could not praise him enough. His secretary talks English as does he.
