How did you get an appointment without a NIE it is one of the fundamental documents required!

We have only just arrived in Spain, new arrivals go straight for TIE. We were told today after the forms were handed in, that we can email after 48hrs to get our NIE’s.

It went so much better than we could have hoped. We got there before time, it was very busy but we went straight into the waiting area and waited about 10-15 mins to be called through and they did both our applications together so didn’t have to return for mine in the afternoon. We were out by half nine! Thanks so much for your good wishes.

Well done you! That was very quick indeed. There's certainly hope for all!

No, you get the NIE when you attend for your residency/TIE appointment. You don’t have to have an NIE to apply.
