You won’t need to pay anything to cancel IN THEORY, however we had trouble with companies who simply pretend you did not cancel. It’s sickening when it is just a simple business relationship, but they insist on trying to scam you, or trying to deceive you.
We had threatening letters/emails for months on cancelling policies. They happily lie and cheat and will take money from your account as if you had renewed.
When you also have a useless bank like Cajamar who will cooperate fully with thieves like this, life can be fun.
You need to be in plenty of time to cancel. Don’t do it at the last minute and make sure you cancel with proof. If you use their web forms for example, you have no real proof.
You also cannot cancel compulsory insurance without supplying proof of who you are moving to.
I won’t give details, but definitely avoid Plus Ultra and avoid Liberty Seguros. Check their reputations on Trustpilot. You might be very surprised…
